오늘의 드라마 장면 설명 : 레즈비언 부부는 릴리를 입양한 사실을 아직 말하지 못하고 있는 미첼에게 카메론은 자기가 이미 연락했다고 말해버리는데....

 

Mitchell : This doesn't worry you? 넌 걱정안돼? She barely slept in the plane, and she's still wide awake.[#wide awake 전혀 졸리지 않는 상태, 말똥말똥한] 그녀는 거의 비행기에서 자지 않았어 그리고 그녀는 여전히 말똥말똥해. Cameron : Oh, stop worrying! 걱정 그만해! [#stop 동사ing 동사하는 것을 멈추다] Mitchell : But Cam, That orphanage was all women. 그러나 캠, 그 고아원에는 모두 여자만 있었어. Maybe she can't fall asleep unless she feels a woman's shape. 아마도 그녀는 잠들지 못할 거야 여자의 형태를 느끼지 못한다면 Cameron : I guess that's possible. Mitchell : So, here. Cameron : What the hell is that suppose to mean? 이게 도대체 무슨 뜻이야? Cameron : Yes, I've gained a few extra pounds while we were expecting the baby... 아기를 기다리면서 몇 파운드 쫌 쪘어 which has been very difficult. 그건 엄청 힘들었어. But, apparently your body does a nesting, very maternal, primal... thing, where it retains nutrients. 그러나 명백하게 몸이 아이를 맞이할 준비하고 엄마처럼 본능적인 거다. 영양소를 축적하는 거다. Some sort of molecular physiology thing. 일종의 분자생리학 같은 거죠. But that's science, you can't, you can't fight it, so... 그러나 그건 과학이죠. 마음대로 조절할 수 없죠.

 

 

Mitchell : I'm not saying anything. 난 아무 말도 안 했다.(할 말이 없다) Cameron : You're saying everything. 모든 걸 다 말했다(네가 무슨 생각하는지 다 알아) Mitchell : Count to three,  one, t... 셋 세는 거다. Cameron : Three! Mitchell : Okay. Oh Cam! Cameron : Oh My God, do you love it? 맘에 들어? Mitchell : Yes, I... What the hell is that? 이게 뭐야? Cameron : I had Andre do it while we're gone. 우리가 간 동안 안드레에게 시켰어. Mitchell : Is that us? With wings? 이거 우리야? 날개 달리?  Cameron : We're floating above her, always there to protect her. 우리가 그녀 위에 떠있는 거지, 항상 지켜주는 거지. Mitchell : Well, that's reassuring, right Lily? 안심이 되지, 맞지 릴리? Yeah, we tore you away from everything you know 우리가 네가 알고 있는 모든 걸로부터 떼어놨네 but don't worry, things are normal here. 그러나 걱정 마 모든 게 정상이야. You're fathers are floating fairies! 너의 아빠들은 떠다니는 요정이란다. Can you call Andre? 안드레에게 전화해 줄래? Have him paint something a little less... gay? 덜 게이다운 걸로 그려 달라하게?

Cameron : Ya, And I don't blame you, I know your family. 그래, 그리고 당신을 탓하지 않아, 난 당신 가족을 알거든. You'd tell them, they'd say something judgmentally. 그들한테 말하면 비판적인 말을 할 거고 Mitchell : Exactly! 정확해 Cameron : You'd get mad. 당신 화날 거고 Mitchell : I know, and Then something supposed to be nothing but joyful suddenly turns into this huge fight. 그러고 나서 즐거워야 할 일이 큰 싸움으로 바뀔 거고[#nothing but 오직(=only)] Cameron : And who wants a big, emotional scene like that? 그리고 누가 그렇게 크고 감정적인 면을 원하겠어?  Mitchell : Thank you, I'm so relieved you understand. 네가 이해한다니 안심된다. Cameron : I invited them over for dinner tonight. 그들을 오늘 저녁에 초대했어. Mitchell : What? 뭐라고? Cameron : I had to! 그렇게 해야 했어. This would have gone on forever. 이렇게 하다간 평생 갈 거야. [#on forever평생] You're an avoider. 넌 늘 피하기만 하잖아. Mitchell : No, no! Cam, I'm calling them now, I'm canceling. 내가 전화해서 취소할게. Cameron : No, you're not! 절대 안 돼!
